Community collects warm clothing for Woodland

Three community partners are hosting a clothing drive for three and four year old students at Woodland Early Learning Community School.

The "Help Us, Help Them" clothing drive is a partnership between the College Basketball Experience, the Kansas City Leaders Forum, Kansas City Public Schools and LINC.

Donations will be accepted during the weekends of Dec. 7-8 and Dec. 14-15 at the College Basketball Experience located at 1401 Grand in Kansas City, Mo.

In addition, donations will be accepted during the inaugural "Cruise to Achievement" recruiting and information event from 9am - 3pm on Saturday Dec. 7 at Paseo Academy, 4747 Flora Ave.

Anyone who donates to this project will receive a $4 discount on a single College Basketball Experience admission and 15 percent off any Hoop Shop purchase.

Extension

"Help Us, Help Them" clothing drive has been extended to each day until the end of the year as a result to widespread community support.

The collective is seeking new socks, underwear, hats, gloves in sizes 2T through 7T. Donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays, at The College Basketball Experience, 1401 Grand Blvd., in downtown Kansas City, Mo.
