LINC's Yolanda Robinson to be honored for community service

Yolanda Robinson has served as a site coordinator for LINC Caring Communities since 2012, and has led Faxon Elementary School’s program since 2015. Here she sits with her Faxon students during a past Lights On Afterschool event.

LINC’s Yolanda Robinson is one of five African-American women who will be honored by the National Congress of Black Women Kansas City Chapter at its Black Tie Gala on Sat., Nov. 9, at the Delta Athenaeum, 900 E. Linwood, Kansas City, Mo.

Robinson has served with LINC since 2012 and has been the site coordinator at Faxon Elementary School since 2015.

The gala’s theme is “Reaching Milestones: Empowering One Woman at A Time.” The awards dinner will also honor public servants, professionals and community members for their dedicated service.

The other two community honorees are Arimeta DuPree and Jumesha Wade. Two student scholarships will be awarded.
