Students from Van Horn High School in Independence, Missouri received free brand new books to keep for their personal libraries. These popular titles were provided through First Book, a national non-profit based in Washington, D.C. 

During Teen Read Week, all English classes visited the Van Horn library where each student received a book. Students could select from a variety of books in bulk supply throughout the week.
