Starting the 2014-2015 school year, Clay County students will be able to participate in the Jackson-Clay County Spelling Bee. 

Previously the Jackson County Spelling Bee, the Jackson-Clay County Spelling Bee is now available to the students in the eight Clay County school districts since the Jackson County Spelling Bee expansion. 

Participation in the Jackson-Clay County Spelling Bee gives students the opportunity to compete at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. During the 2013-2014 school year, seventh grader Kush Sharma of Frontier School of Innovation represented the Jackson County Spelling Bee at the Scripps National Spelling Bee this past May.
